Kristina and I became very close during the sixth grade school year. She became one of my best friends, someone that I could share things with and I know I wouldn’t be judged. She was so warm and happy. Just a great person to be around. I remember we would come home from school and we’d meet on Whitehall Way with our bikes and just ride, like nothing else mattered. I can honestly say that I have not since had a friend like Kristina. She looked past the things that most people dwell on, and she liked people for who they were, not for what they had or did. She had, and still has an extremely strong impact on me, and I will never forget anything about her.
I remember something she said to me one day that I will never forget. She told me to always look on the bright side, because if I didn’t I would live my life just worrying all the time. I think of Kristina as more than just a person... I think of her as an amazing friend who changed the way I look at things and more importantly the way I look at life. She’ll always have a special place in my heart.
